GridPower® Solar School systems are available in a range of sizes, and are suitable for installation on most school building roofs. The size, configuration and power generation output of the system can be tailored to each school's needs and budget.  Reduced electricity bills The electricity your GridPower® Solar School system generates will reduce the amount of electricity your school draws from the electricity grid, or if your GridPower® Solar School system generates more electricity than you are using the excess electricity generated can be exported back into the electricity grid. No moving parts, no noise A GridPower® Solar School system works silently, efficiently and needs little maintenance. Government grants Grants are available for eligible schools under the Australian Government's National Solar Schools Program (NSSP). Many State Governments have additional and complementary solar rebates for schools. The NSSP offers grants of up to $50 000 (GST exclusive) to install solar and other renewable power systems, solar hot water systems, rainwater tanks and a range of energy efficiency measures. There is a 10-year limited warranty on all framing components. Inverters specified in any GridPower® Solar School system have standard five-year manufacturers' warranties. Web-linked monitoring GridPower® Solar School monitoring system includes an option for the monitoring of all major variables from the system with a web-linked data box. There are a number of options, all of which allow data to be viewed via a web browser and downloaded via the school intranet system into spreadsheet-compatible format, for use within subjects such as geography, environmental science, mathematics etc. Accredited installation GridPower® Solar School system designers and installers are BCSE-Accredited people, as required by the NSSP. This means that installers are up-to-date with all technical and safety standards for solar electric systems, and conform to industry best-practice.
